Default shaaweeeeet!

Those look grat on your car! Most people have to paint them to look good IMO, but it looks really good there. Sorry I have not gotten back to you on the kit, I will be e-mailing you latter tonight on the details and shipping dates and payment etc.

Very nice car. IT is nice to see a not all that common car so tricked out.

Default installation??

Wow.. looking good.. how's the installation? I don't think it is plug n play since you change from 2 bulbs to 4 bulbs. A lot of splicing???

VOLTIS5-- the Morettes cost me $440.00. I am not sure yet whether or not I am going to get them painted. They don't look bad at all unpainted, but they would look almost stock if they were painted.

etam-- These lights are far from plug and play. Even worse is the fact that the directions from Morette were a joke. I actually had a guy I know at a local speed shop install them for me. It was WELL worth the money ($40). The fit is very tight behind the lights. I am planning on getting HIDs, but there does not seem to be enough room behind the drivers side light for an HID install. Also, the corner lights are only blinkers, not parking lights, so I will need to get some side markers so other cars can see my dark car from the side at night. I am very happy with the look of the lights, and their light output is GREAT! Please let me know if you have any other questions or would like any other pics.

Those look super-nice.

I think you have a win-win with a black car 'cause you could leave 'em unpainted and they look good or you can paint 'em for better integration with the car.

I'm not sure what kind of look your are going for, but I'd paint them because they'd just flow with the rest of the car a bit better. Right now they definitly get my attention as aftermarket coolness, but as I follow the roofline of the car down to the bumper, they totally interrupt the lines of the car the way they are now. Maybe that isn't a bad thing.

Either way, you win.

-- Froggert:

I will try to post some pics of the Moretes' light output on pavement soon. The projector low beam is WAY brighter than stock. The beam has a distinct cut off at the top of the beam and the light is much more concentrated than with the stock lights. The High beam is pretty much a spot beam. It shines directly in front of the vehicle and lights about 3 times further than the stock high beams. These lights are insanely bright with just stock 55 watt low beams and 55 watt high beams. I am going to put in 80 watt highs and they will be blinding, literally. The lows will also be VERY bright with PIAAs or other aftermarket bulbs.
The low beams cover about the same width as the stock lows, but the light output is much more concentrated, so it is brighter than stock.
There is also a small city light located in the housing of the High beam. This light look very cool and it works as a front parking light, as the corner lights only work as blinkers.

I have only driven with these for a short time at night, so I will post an update when I examine the beam patterns further. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Here are somone elses pics of Morette's light output w/HID lows. Keep in mind these are J-Spec stock Legacy headlights w/projector lows, so they are already better than our US lights.

Yeah, we should totally meet up. I am often in the Bellevue area too. You don't happen to know anything about installing springs do you? I have a set of Whiteline springs coming and I need to get them installed. Do you know of any good shops that will do good work for a fair price? I hope to catch up to you soon.

Springs.... hmmm, not sure. I haven't had anybody do my springs yet. I've been thinking about it tho. I am looking at the H&R springs. I wonder if any of the Shocks places do it, like Midas, or tire places. You can try asking Mike at SMART Service, but then again, according to my bro, Pesca555, he was quoted for something pretty $$$, something like $300 something. You may want to double check tho.

Call Adam at Z-1 Performance, 631-254-8277. He may be putting together another group buy from Morette. He is a great guy and his price was much cheaper than anywhere else. Good luck!

Jacobhorn,
Do you still have your stock lights? Are they the clear lens style or the ones with the lined lens? Any chance you would be interested in selling them? I have a '97 Legacy and the headlights are horrible!
Thanks,
Doug
P.S.
The Morettes look really sweet!!

I am pretty sure my stock lights are the clear lens ones you are refering too. I do know that my headlights are different (and improved) from the 1997 models. My headlights are suposed to have a better light pattern and they come with seperate corner lights. This makes it much easier to do the clear corner mod. As of now, I have not decided whether I want to sell the stock headlights. Make me an offer and I will deffinately consider it. Thanks for the interest.
