Default 03 Cobb Stage 2 WRX 1/8 mile time

So I went to the Irwindale 1/8 mile drag races tonight and he's my best time...

I know I could work on the 60 foot, but I guess it's better than the 06 WRX TR Stage 2 that was running 9.4 @ 76. Haha I owned him.

60' - 1.990
330 - 5.794
1/8 - 8.930
MPH - 78.97

It's not bad...ANy one know what this would estimate in the 1/4 mile?

aw boo..I read somewhere to get an accurate estimate on 1/4 just multiply your 1/8 time by 1.54.

8.93x1.54 = 13.75

To help you out a little. I have a stage 2 minus the EM but plus a FMIC.

60' = 1.901
1/8 = 8.758
1/8 MPH = 80.06
1/4 = 13.671
1/4 MPH = 100.12

So i would say that the 13.75 would be real close. If that calculation is correct than i should have run a 13.487. but i am sure that it is an average multiplier.

damn nice that's a good time.

I think I could have done a lot better, in fact I know I could have, but it was my first time out and I was nervous for some reason. I was even shifting at 7k and I know that I should be shifting at like 6500...Oh well next time.

^^^ Actually it's the STi's that really need to be shifted at 6500rpms ... I have a good bit of info here on shift points that I used and other stuff if interested from last years passes ... http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=809596 ... I'm hoping to improve upon this for this Fathers Day, but we'll see ... My first few passes down the track were right on target with your's, but I had pretty terrible 60' times ...

Nice times man...and yeah I know it's all about the 60'. If I can get mine down to 1.8 (which I probably can, this was my first time at the drag strip with my wrx and I only got 2 runs in) I can probably hit 13.5's or 13.6's in the 1/4.

When i got my 1.90, that was still not a "perfect" launch. I know that if i can get a 1.8 or maybe a 1.7, i would be in the low 13's. I dont think that is to bad. But i need more powah to get into the 12's. i often wonder that if i added an AP if that would give me enough power to get there. just me thinking out loud.

Just remember: practice, practice, practice

For a somewhat accurate readout, multiply your 1/8 mile by 1.56 and 1.57... it should be somewhere in the middle. All depends how you shift, etc. I ran two 13.1's stock and one had an 8.348 1/8th and one had an 8.442 1/8th, and multiplying them by 1.56 or 1.57 was pretty accurate in terms of coming out to the 1/4 time. It won't be exact, but it'll be pretty close. Using those numbers puts you around 13.9 - 14.0 on those runs.
