Default 05 WRX AP...A/T M/T differences?

i ran into something that puzzled me for awhile...i was changing my stage2 map to the HWG map when i came upon something within my ap software that mentioned an automatic transmission. i have a manual transmission.

i looked at cobb's website and i saw nothing that separated the auto and manual trannys for the 02-05 MYs (only the 2006).

can anyone help me out here?

thanks,
Tom

This would be the ECU Identifier.

It's what comes up during an inspection and or code read.

You can change it by using the map managment software, after changing the identifier there, you'd simply need to re-flash your basemap to update the ECU.

Does that help?

yeah, that sounds familiar...in fact i believe i changed that to a M/T and then loaded the stage2 HWG map.

i guess since my car is running just fine i should assume that everything is correct...i don't see any differentiation between M/T and A/T maps for the 05' accessport.

thanks,
Tom

i don't think the maps are different, just the identifier.
