I have factory battery in my car now and its getting weak. I had to jump start it twice today which sucked cause of the rain. Im looking for a good battery for a reasonable price soo any one have any recommendation?

Walmart, Costco... any $45 battery works great for me. They're all a significant improvement over stock.

I've been looking into an Opitima battery, but the Optima website does not list a specific application for the WRX. I've heard a "reverse terminal" battery will do the trick. Anyone using one?

The walmart batteries are made by Johnson Controls and in the walmart way to keep cost down don't put out as much CCAs. The Duralasts from autozone or Sears Diehard are made by Johnson Controls and have more CCAs.

I personally will get an Exide prolly this winter to avoid any issues.

Basically anything will have more output than stock.

Interstates are also made by JC, anything in the megatron line while slighly more expensive is a good bet. They are usually around 500-700 CCAs.

If you have an interstate distributor (not dealer) near you, they sometimes have "blems" basically reconditioned new batteries that may have had a crack in the case or something that couldn't be sold as new, for substantially less then retail.

Group 35 Yellowtop, is a direct replacement. I just did my buddies 2004 WRX Wagon, dropped right in, terminals in the same location as stock, got it for cheap to from http://www.remybattery.com

optima, should be the last battery you ever buy, for the most part. Plus, it doesn't get a ll goopy around the terminals.

Go with the battery for a 1992-95 civic cx.

much smaller and lighter than stock, worked fine on all my cars year around.

Regular Walmart battery works great for me...Consumer Reports actually gave them good ratings and it's dirt cheap (with a 2 year warranty too)...
