oh, hope i didnt say anything to make that a fact...

update: - changing front mount to the Greddy type R FMIC - due to a recent accident - FMIC is rated higher than the ARC, so the flow rate should be different when I get to the track in the future...

gotta get out of Iraq first.. haha...

cheers to the tuners!

Your et is great, especially for the mph. But i would expect more mph out of a set-up like that. Hell my vf-39 sti with just an exhuast and tune traps 107.5. Basically the same mph but i have much less mods and that was with pure 93.

Curious, why did you feel it was necessary to go with a fmic? On top of that, why did you feel an arc was necessary(besides the injen, i would rank the arc as the least capable fmic out there)?

Seems you could have spent your money better...buts thats just me :/

you should hook up an external wastegate setup for that uppipe if it's possible...then talk about minimal lag/throttle response, it would be crazy

get a race gas tune and see what times you can throw down!

nice setup

check the first post for the update = we're using a similar design for our up - pipe based off of the one that full-race offers....

I agree completely...

I went with the ARC because when I first bought the car, I had no idea what I was doing... 1 1/2 years later, and plenty of studies on the EJ series and doing my homework with tuning, I realize that I had tossed down around 7k in non-essential mods... I didnt have a plan at all...

The tune that I did on the STi was an initial tune, without any finishing touches... it was a base map for 94 octane... I'm sure I could push out a bit more from that turbo, but I've decided to go a different route...

As far as going with the FMIC - I was experiencing some severe knock problems around 15-17 psi with the STi TMIC - So I swapped out to the ARC FMIC, and had it tuned..
again, I didnt know anything about my car 1 1/2 years ago.. plenty of study would have told me that a larger TMIC and an Aquamist kit would have worked beautifully with that turbo...

The ARC showed no problems handling 20+ psi, and the build quality is top notch. I still have the intercooler, but it was damaged slightly after my accident last year before my deployment - have to see if it can be repaired once I get back home... I'm sticking with the Greddy-Type R for now - I may go with the APS at a later time... we'll see.

..check the first post for the updated build project..
