Default Got my car protuned. wowsers!

Got my car protuned by jorge from P&L and let me tell you I was more than impressed. He was a great professional and with Ron @ Axis by his side, it was a tuners dream. My car did 230 whp and a stock wrx does 175 or so on his dyno. I was pleased, but more importantly the car feels totally different. I guess you would have to drive it before and after to notice, but it feels like I got a big turbo upgrade. Soo smooth and power everywhere, when before it just died up top. Props to Jorge and Ron. I don't have a scanner to post the dyno sheets.

My mods are:

Cobb UP
Perrin DP
Prodrive Axleback
Hyperflow TMIC
AP Protuned (obviously)
GFB 50/50 BOV
Snorkus mod

I had my 05 STi tuned by Jorge today. What a great guy! I have a Helix catted dp, Maddad 3" midpipe and a stock axle back. Stock STi's get about 220 hp on this dyno according to Ron. With the Cobb stage 2 93 oct map I base lined at 253 hp and 255 lb/ft torque. When Jorge was finished working his magic I had 304 hp and 342 lb/ft torque.

The car is a beast now. It pulls hard in any gear at any RPM.

I agree with you that Jorge is a true professional and it was a pleasure talking to him.

51whp and 87lb/ft from a protune? That is outrageous!!

Yeah, I don't think my car was running that strong with the Cobb maps for some reason. It was way too rich and never really felt as fast as I would have expected. I raced my Cobb stage 2 STi against my stock Evo IX MR and the Evo had absolutely no problems staying with the STi. At some points the Evo was even able to pull ahead. That won't happen now.

Sweet. At least I know my car is as fast as a stock sti now. Great numbers on your protune. The map must have been way off on your car. My numbers were not as dramatic but the powerband is totally different now.
