Post Anyone Want to Get Rid of Their Stock Shifter?

...specifically, a stock shifter for a 2K GT. I bought my Kartboy shifter back when he was still doing core exchanges. Now, I'd like to change it back to stock.

Let me know how much you want for it.

Thanks

Bob

Hey I've got the one of my '97GT, you can have it, I have to look around for it though. But I don't know if it'll fit the 2K.

What's wrong w/ the Kartboy?

Thanks gumball, I think it should fit. You're in MD? If there are no other offers locally, I'll take it.

Nothing's wrong with the Kartboy. I love driving with it. I'm returning my wagon back to stock in preparation for selling it. Why? Hint: three little letters...W-R-X

Hey, you should keep it on there for the new owner, I doubt anyone would notice. If I ever sell my GT I'd probably leave the Kartboy in, makes it sportier. Also you might try some junkyards out there- if there are some wrecks you can go in and pop one out relatively quickly.

I'll consider it. I need to find out first if it will fit in the new Imprezas.

One caveat...the Kartboy shifter was intended for Imprezas, so it's not a perfect fit on the Legacies. The barrel on the shifter is not wide enough. The connection to the linkage will have side to side play. You can fabricate some spacers to fill in the gap. I heard that Dale Teague can offer the Kartboy made for Legacies now.

odd, but my Kartboy seems to fit perfectly. maybe its the "legacy" one? I always thought our drivetrains were identical.
