Brilliant! I've been watching Top Gear bit torrent videos to brush about on my English. I've written the number down, we'll be in the UK for about a week and my friend is big car enthusiast so I'm sure we'll find some time to get up there.

Hope see you and RCM in the fall.

Remind my self to bring some extra quid to buy some toys

The fuel system on the gobstopper will flow more than enough fuel so no need for swirl pots.

Im sure it will flow enough but the reason for the swirl pots is so the car doesnt get fuel starved when accerlating, turning, etc...(Im sure you already know this.) Thats why I asked what the car was made for. Im sure for drag and some light track duties you will be fine. The fuel system looks well thought out and the fuel cell looks like its up the the challange. But swirl pots just look so cool! I like the dual fuel rail setup, its something not many people adventure into.

On a side note what type of intake manifold is that? from a gc8 or gdb.
thanks

That looks like Andy Forrest's drag car. He has achieved some excellent 1/4 mile times with that car and will no doubt come up against The Gobstopper during the course of the year.

Hi Nick, not sure on the intake manifold but the spec list will be up in a few days so that should answer your question.

Very cool...you guys have thought of everything! I figured it was either that, or a diagnostic port, etc.

Cute Rottie FTW! Insane as this might sound, I'd rather have the dog than the car! The pics continue to amaze, though.

Matt had the dash flocked, the dash is sprayed with some sort of glue and then covered with a type of suede this is to stop any reflections from the sun.
The WRC cars have this done so I"m told.

If you look closely at the tank, the pickup point is a small portion of the tank that resides in the spare tyre wheel well which is lower than rest of the tank. The pumps are also located at this lower point. It is actually very clever. It seems very unlikely that any acceleration, or hard cornering would cause a fuel starvation problem with that design. About the only thing I could think of that might would be a good old WRC style 'jump'. And even that probably wouldn't cause starvation because it's possible the tank has foam on the inside lower portion to stop the fuel sloshing.
