Post hmmm, dilema dilema

There's a guy in the private classified who's pulling his Rimmer Eaton SC kit off of his Impreza. He'll sell the whole kit for $800. Should run about 210-220HP, but I'm torn. The SC is a small compromise over a full blown turbo, but it's also only $800.

Opinions??

If you don't mind having little to no support for it, the i'd say jump on the deal

It's really a good deal, since you don't have to mess with turbo headers, downpipes and all that crap.

You'll love the torque, trust me. BTW, i've seen one of these kits on an RS, when they're done right, they haul.

Is this the version that requires the hood bulge to clear the pulley? If so, is he including it?

I have pics of the rimmer kit from the Impreza, somewhere, if you'd like to see what it looks like.

I can probably post 'em tommorow.

I decided to pass - rather not muck with my daily driver .

Great deal if someone has a project car, though. It's the older rimmer kit with the Eaton SC.

btw, you have to cut a hole in your hood for the pulley to clear your hood

that's a major turnoff for me...

The capa kit doesn't look like it requires a cutout. I'm thinking seriously about it for my '95 LSi 2.2

Thumbs up

DLC

The Supercharger kit that you pictured is the side mounted intercooled setup not the top mounted setup with the hood bubble. I tried emailing Rimmer many times about this set up with the air to water innercooler with no response. Do you know the person in the pictures? I would love to talk to them about the Rimmer kit.

Does anyone know specifics about this kit? I would like to purchase it within the next year.
