OMGHi2U Colorado smog laws?

So yeah, I'm moving to Colorado.

Here in California, if you install so much as an aftermarket cigarette lighter, you won't pass the "visual" smog inspection.

So, what's it like in Colorado?

Is it just a sniffer test? or do they do a visual and OBDII test as well?

Thx

IIRC its OBDII and sniffer. But that is only if you live on the front range. Up in the mountains there's nothing at all. You could ask over at awdpirates as its been a long time since I smogged something. Ohh, no testing for new cars for 5 years, only if you purchase new though.

I register my cars in the foothills and you have to have some retards drive your car on the ?? for the smog test. They generally look under the car with mirrors and just look it over a bit. I don't think it would be too hard to get some things by them.

On my cars I have to have emmisions done every two years. You should check what the taxes will be when you register your car here. They charge you based on the value of the vehicle when you are bringing it into the state. It can get pretty spendy depending on how much your car is worth.
