Default Anybody have problems with Perrin Pulley?

I am thinking of getting a Perrin lightweight pulley. I would like to know the benefits and drawbacks. How many miles have you had it? Any info is greatly apreciated. thanks Dewey

I'll go ahead and tell you to put on your flame suit. Search feature is yor friend. And also unabomers manifesto that is in the FAQ's at the top of this forum. There are so many threads about this you'll find all the info you need.
I personally do not have one. I know it will throw a cell if you try and run one with a lightend flywheel.

Now its testimony like that which give this mod a bad name. I have a Perrin Pulley and Exedy 13.9lb flywheel and have no CELs. The car revs great and is really easy to drive.

You are not going to gain a ton of performance or might not even gain any HP from it but the ease in which the engine revs and the throttle response it gives are well worth it.

Maybe I shouldn't have said "I know it will throw a cell" since I have no experience with either. But from what I've read on numerous threads is that it will. And I'm talking about running both. Flywheels are not all the same(some much more lighter than others) so maybe one is better than the other. But the pulley itself alot of people seem to like. Money could be spent somewhere else, but thats preference. And my 2 cents. Sorry kinda got off subject and thats all I have to say about that.

Honestly, I had the older Perrin version of this and at high rpm I'd get a CEL for the crank angle sensor. I swapped it out for a Worx Tuning version (that supposedly is designed to prevent this) and I haven't seen the CEL again. Perrin has changed their design since then and probably isn't an issue. Just wanted to throw that out there.
