Default changing the trans and diff. fluids

im about to change the trans and rear diff oils what should i use? its a 01 rs auto

Whatever the owner's manual recommends. At worst, you could ask your local dealership what they use.

PS - On rear diff, don't forget to remove the fill plug *before* you remove the drain plug, just so you don't get stuck with a drained diff and a stuck fill bolt.

If you have an auto the front diff is filled separately from the trans, and with different fluid.
Definitely refer to your owners manual. If you don't have one you can register on the Subaru website and get one.

I use Mobil 1 gear oil...its like a 75w or something like that. You'll need like 5. 3.8 for the front and almost 1 for the rear.
