Default Accessport for Nissan and Evo?

I just picked up a copy of "modified" magazine (july 2006) and it shows a different style accessport that I have never seen before. It also says that they are available for the Evo 8/9 and some Nissans.

I thought Cobb was subaru specific? Does anyone know about these new accessports?

I've never heard of Cobb making products for any other manufacturer?

Is it an actual Accessport made by Cobb, or just a similar reflashing product made by a different company?

Is the AP available for Evo's? It's been under development for some time now.

AccessECU is an independently operated division of COBB. They're responsble for the R&D and manufacturing of the AccessPORT and related technologies. AccessECU is not a vendor. They use COBB Tuning for that kind of stuff. They will probably sell the AccessPORT through other vendors.

I really don't know a lot, but after talking to Christian some time ago, he commented to me that there is a new one coming out and that it will have twice the speed of the current AccessPORT. I think most of this because of the limited feature set with StreetTuner compared to the ProTuner software. He didn't give me specifics, but that they were working on the logistics for the people who already own the current AP and wanted to upgrade. There didn't seem to be a way to software upgrade the current AP, so a new box was going to be needed. I am confident that Cobb will make sure that we are taken care of when it is released.
