Default So the dealer suppousedly FIXED IT, NOT...

So the said they put a new coil in #4 and a plug as it was trigering a CEL with a code for a missfire in #4..... I said I am almost sure is the coil. I took the car in on monday left it all day in and they said OK its the coil and we are going to order a new one. On friday the did the job. I didnt see them doing the change so I dunno if it was done or not. I trust them, but now why is the car still missing at idle (Sound from the exhaust or puffs). When I drove it off the dealer it had a very rough idle. What should I do. Can it be the ECU or an injector and they didnt really check the car right.. Do we have a LEMON here... LOL....

Could be several other things - have they done a compression test?

I had the same thing happen. #4 coil replaced, rough idle gone for 500 miles then it all began again. One more trip to the dealer and an injector "recalibration" later things are much better.

Today it has been rainning all day and the streets were full of water. I went through a puddle and the CEL came on. I went to the dealer and it was the MASS AIR FLOW NOW... WTF...

Hmmm, your MAF failed because you went through a puddle... and you have an SPT Intake. Interesting.

Agreed.

Did you take out the MAF sensor and let it dry out?

That light was resolved... So today the CEL came back on.... It was the #4 missfire again...... Now it might simply be an injector, but the individuals at the dealer didnt really test the car....

So I cannot go through water if I have an intake....... Thats absurd...

Ok guys so it seems like it was simpler than I thought.... I had the idea that it was a dirty injector, but I ruled out as I always use quality gas. Well I think I was wrong. I put some injector cleaner (Supplied by the dealer) and the CEL has not come back on in a few days and the miss seems to have ceased. So I guess the dealer either didnt have time to look at the car or they just went with the first thing that poped in mind.... YAY I dont have a lemon....
