Default The Official Wheel Thread.

There has been a lot of recent talk on wheels (specifically the BE's, but I didn't want to discriminate,) so here's the "official" show-us-your-wheels thread.

Ready? Go.

Wheels
BBS RK 17x7 et48

Tires
Falken GR-Beta FK-451 225/45/17.

Suspension
iON Sport Spec Springs
Whiteline RSB
Whiteline ALK
OEM struts with 115k miles, 25k of which on the lowered springs...and still going strong!

PS - for sale! I want 18's now. Full-size spare and tires included. Make me an offer that I won't laugh at.

You asked for it....

99 RS wheels (first set, later PC'd black and put on our racecar)

Gram Lights, 17x7.5, ET48, 225/45/17 (traded for the P1's)

WRX 16's (winter wheels, sold)

Second set of 99's (winter wheels, lived a short life on our shop drift car)

Rota Actions (relegated to track wheels, whenever I start tracking)

01 RS wheels, rattlecanned black (very temporary, now on one of the shop Leg Turbos.)

Prodrive P1's, 18x7.5ET53, 225/45/18

Rota SDR's, 17x7.5, 225/45/17

OZ Superleggeras, 18x8ET51, 225/40/18

That's not all the wheels, but it's enough for now

Most pics are either on V5/GC setup, or Tein Flex.

Holy crap... and I thought I went through alot of wheels...

Oh well here goes...
All pics shown lowered with Whiteline Flatout and KYB GR2

Eagle Alloy Fox2's 17x7 +42mm 21lbs
Michelin Pilot Alpin 225/45/17
Not a perfect fitment as these rubbed on the fronts.

BBS RK's 17x7 +48mm 17lbs
Firestone Firehawk SZ50EP 215/45/17
Great wheel and great tire. After 2 seasons, ended up being track wheels

Prodrive P7's 17x7 +48mm 20lbs
Bridgestone RE 730 225/45/17
Bridgestone S-03 225/45/17
730's are crap. loud, ugly, no grip in dry or wet
S-03's are pretty good. I've had better...
The P7's are strong. If my car was to blow up, Im sure the only thing to survive will be these wheels...

I thought the P7's were gonna be my summer wheels until I laid my eyes on these.....

BBS LM F1 18x7.5 +49mm 18.3lbs
About 100 of these rims made in 18"s and in Subaru hubcentric. Available only Gold or Gunmetal.
Falken RT-615 225/40/18
Awesome tire. Godly amounts of grip with acceptable road manners.

heh, they even look good while dirty...

Other un -honourable mentions...

Ver 6 5-spoke Golds. 16x7 not sure of the weight..
Bridgestone RE 730's
Didnt like the look of 16's on a lowered car.

RS 6-spoke in rattlecan copper. 16x6.5
Nokian winters
Ugly as sin. Had them on my car for a week. Did not get them off my car quick enough.

Yes, the offset is off (+38) and yes, the front wheel would definately hit if it was any bigger or the car was dropped. However, these are a temporary fling with some insanely sticky summer tires. And yes, I know I am putting undue strain on my wheel bearings. If I wasn't such an anal person and changed bearings when I changed out brakes I might actually worry about it.
