Default So a crack dealer crashed his car into my uncle's house last night...

CN: Crack dealer crashes car into uncle's house. uncle understandably not down for the cause.

My uncle lives in the city... and a pretty crappy area of the city at that (near where my family is from, hence the location choice). The benefit is that he literally owns the entire block and has basically a compound built there. Its a really nice place that he has done a TON of work to, and done it all himself.

Anyway, at like 3am the whole house shakes, so he grabs a gun (you don't live in that neighborhood without guns) and runs outside... to find a a car smashed into his house. It had apparently run a red light at like 8000mph and got t-boned and then slid sideways into his house. The driver somehow had managed to get out of the car and run off (!!!). The car was, of course, stolen.

So how do we know it was a crack-dealer? When my uncle ran up to the car, he said the passenger seat was littered with drugs and $20s.... including (but not limited to) "a crack rock about the size of a golf-ball"(!!!!!).

he has pictures, but i can't post them until insurance and the legalities are worked out.

yea, its ****ing wonderful.

in all fairness, he doesn't exactly live in the tourist-friendly (hell, even white-people friendly) areas. it would not be where you hang out with your buds. i'm not sure why he lives there really, other than he must just not have wanted to move away from home and my grandma.

on the other side of things: langhorne slim and murder by death played a show here last night and it was borderline orgasmic. that almost makes up for the crackheads and their driving antics. almost.

aids? i hope?

it'll be fine. homeowners insurance will cover it i'm sure. it will just be a pain in the ass while a huge chunk of his house is being fixed all summer.

i can't believe the dude walked away, much less RAN. both cars are beyond totaled.

doubtful... i'd imagine he was far more concerned with making sure his house got fixed/he had no liability/the investigation went smooth, than he was over a couple hundred bucks. hell, even if it was a grand or more it would hardly be worth the risk for the payout when major repairs to your house is on the line.

i'm pretty sure the cops did though. i'd imagine they took a bit of the money, and inflated the damage a bit for the report. in my experiences thats how they roll. when my apartment got robbed the officer tried to report my 25" crap-brand TV as a 40" Sony Pimp-vision they have no qualms about openly screwing insurance apparently. i know he was looking to help me out, which was nice, i just didn't want to be on the line for that.

BacDoc lived out in Chesterfield/Valley Park area and avoided the city mostly.

Even out the in the nice part of STL they pulled a dead body out of the pond at our apt. complex.

i live somewhat near west county mall in town and country these days. its not too bad, certainly a lot safer than most other places in saint louis. its nice. takes ~12 minutes to get to the loop, so it's not like i am totally in the sticks, but i have not had to deal with crackhead/crackdealer/gang/retard problems whatsoever. the closest thing to that is when i nearly ran over my neighbor's kid cause he jumped out from behind the trashcan at the end of the driveway. angry soccer moms scare me.
