Default 2.5 header size vs 2.0 header size

Are the small header "primaries" the same between 2.0L and 2.5L? I'm talking only about the small end pieces which typically are tapped for an EGT sender.

Specifically, 2002 WRX -> 2005 STI.

They are all the same for the WRX and STi, same primaries.

They are all interchangeable, but I have recently been told (by those who should have a pretty good idea) that the primaries are actually smaller on some of the lower power models, with the STI having the largest primaries and the FXT having the smallest.

The drivers side manifolds on the '02 and '06 WRX were NOT interchangable, when I tried to swap them to keep my EGT bung/probe off my '02...the whole assembly...manifolds and crosspipe MAY(and thus the a 'header') swap....but the individual manifolds are, apparently, different in this case.

it is the crossover pipes that are actually smaller on the FXT, not the cast pieces...
