Default Stand alone instal

hey guys i am placing the order today for my perrin GT30R with Hydra and wideban. i will be installing the turbo kit mtself but i was wondering if anyone has installed the stand alone em (hydra). is this something i can do, or is it to technical with the wiring and sensors?

bboy is probably your best reference for that. At least for a member. Of course, Phil is always a good person to chime in on.

I'm getting my Hydra installed now as we speak

If you bought it new it will come with instructions. It's very simple to install. Just remove your negative bat. terminal, remove passenger side carpet, unplug the stock ecu and remove it, plug in hydra harness, plug harness into hydra, T into a vac line on the manifold and run that line to the Hydra MAP sensor. then just load a map and you are done.

Actualy the Hydras usually come with a base map. Make sure to calibrate your wideband and TPS and save a copy of your map before starting the car.
