Default Cobb to release Launch Control

So I was talking to Christian at the WBM today and he was talking about the newest addition to the tools/functions/performance goodies available to us through the AP V2. He said that very soon Cobb Tuning will release an update for the AP that will allow for launch control using the cruise control lever on the steering wheel and pressing in the rear defrost HVAC button to place your RPM where you want to launch from as well as specify your WOT RPM shifts. Pretty cool stuff if you ask me.

Have we now?

http://cobbforums.com/videos/Launch25.mov

I figured we could get this out so people could educate themselves on how setting the system works.

Take care,
Christian.

ST Advanced hasn't been released yet. I would think you'd have to upgrade to advanced to get the LC and FFS features.

ok, so i still don't get it (sry english is not my first language), so it will just hold the ref to the limit that you set it? if that is the case what is the big deal if you can do it manually and easily ? or will it manage the clutch also when you release it ?

Launch control will allow you to keep a certain RPM when the throttle pedal is completely floored so you can concentrate on the clutch.

no eta = never.

I didn't mean to say that they didn't have it and it wasn't working- all I was saying is I want to try it myself.

Yeah, I didn't think the 2.0L was going to get it because it takes a lot more effort to get it to work.

eh, R+D takes a long time, especially with something as 'precious' as an ECU is, it's the brain of a car and not something to take lightly by a vendor, I would rather they take their time then release something hurriedly that winds up screwing up our cars
