Post De-ionizers?


While we're on the subject of washing...

I recently moved into an area with really hard water. The top-end PEC spot-free spraybar (www.spotfree.net) worked okay for about 15 washes, but it's starting to spot now, and the flow was a little too slow to do the car before it dried. I want to get one of those industrial deionizers like the dealerships use.

Anybody know where one can be found?

You should install a water softner in your house. When you measure the hardness of the water, you are measuring the concentration of Mg and Ca in the water(Magnesium and Calcium for you non chemists). You should aim to have the hardness of your water fall anywhere from 11mg/l to 75mg/l next time it is tested. As far as a de-ionizer goes, youre basically talking about usuing distilled water (water with nothing "bad" in it). I hope that helped.
