Just as it says: I want to buy that HKS Carbon Titatnium catback exhaust for sale in the vendor classifieds. Will it fit my RS turbo? Or will any WRX system fit my car?

I know for a fact that if you're fitting a muffler-section only, you will need to rotate the flange and move the middle hanger forward (backward) an inch or two. Only the latter should be any trouble, however I'm not sure how the rest fits or if the hangers there will match up, let alone the flange.
I know, not much help, but I don't think anyone has actually done it yet. |

I know joe z tried to fit my Apexi N1 catback exhauston his WRX prior to me going turbo. There was the hanger issue mentioned abover as well as one other thing. You'd have to PM him for details though.

Has anybody found more info on this? i.e. will WRX catbacks fit RS-T.
Hanger locations should be easy to modify, I am just concern about the location of the front end of the pipe (flange) where it connects to the WRX factory cats. Will this location be the same on an RS? |

Why would you want to use a WRX factory exhaust on a RS-T?

I am using a WRX dowpipe-back for my RS. Everything seems to bolt right up except the exhaust hanger behind the muffler(looking from the back). I am using this setup because it is a good size tubing and is already made for a turbo car. The downpipe sits higher and I had to have a custom intake piece made that bolts on the turbo. Otherwise the dual tip looks great and maybe cops won't suspect me having a aftermarket muffler etc.

kastle--I do not want to use a factory wrx catback. I meant aftermarket wrx catbacks, but hey.........if the factory wrx catback will fit, then all aftermarket ones should fit too, right?
I don't know yet where the Vishnu turbo kit downpipe will be located (the outlet part). So from the info here, it sounds like I can use any wrx after market muffler section and just custom make a midpipe section that will connect the downpipe outlet to the inlet of the muffler section. Hmmmm........interesting! Maybe I can save some money afterall. The reason I am inquiring about wrx catbacks is because there are not too many catbacks available for RS-Ts, 3" at least. |
