Default Legacy GT/ Infiniti G20

Anybody else notice the similarities between these cars? Hell, from a distance, it's hard to tell them apart. (Mainly from the sides and back). I see quite a few G20's, and almost every time, I get excited thinking I'm seeing another GT. The easiest difference for me to spot is that the tailpipe is on the passenger side, not driver side like the Subaru's. Nice looking cars, though!

Yeah they look alot alike. One way to tell the difference is the G20 has factory side markers.

I used to want one of those cars until I test drove one. Slow as molasses. I think I remember one of the car and driver editors saying, "it accelerates like a sentra with its parking brake on."

Nice shape, but needs more power (but then again I drive a GT which is also in desperate need of some more power).

What wrecks that car are the 15" wheels. It COULD look nice. But yeah, it does look similar to a GT.

yup from a distance they do look alike from the back and somewhat from the front. i wish subaru thought of putting those side marker in our gt's, but then if they did i think people think its an infinity .

It seems kinda ass-backward to me that Subaru puts sidemarkers on their Imprezas (even the old L models) but not their more expensive Legacy lineup. Somebody complain to SOA.

Yeah, I agree, especially from behind. But the difference is 2.0 vs. 2.5

One of my buddies have one, and it's pretty nice. Pretty fast if you ask me. I am sure if you soup it up, I am sure it would be pretty fast. 15" wheels really suck on that car tho.

the g20 looks nice...but not as aggressive as a MY99 gt (no scoop). and that car is even more underpowered than the 2.5L. the engine needs to be raced before any type of acceleration is made. do they have plans of beefing up this car with a V6 like nissan is doing with the altima?

either way you cut it. this car, even in its base model costs as much as a legacy without awd and with a puny sentra 2.0L. and, if looks are concerned, i would still go with the legacy in a heartbeat.

Here's an image from autotrader.com. It's doesn't really highlight the similarities, but you get the idea. I think they look most similar from the back. And yes, I had noticed the side markers as well. I wish ours had that, too. They look nice.

The G20 was on the list of cars I was considering buying because it is a nice looking car.

The SR20DE engine is underpowered in stock form but it responds very well to mods and can easily be made into a decent preformer.

I crossed it off because it is too expensive for what you get and it is very hard to find one with a five-speed.

The new G20 lost it's sportiness, I think. The original, early 90's, was great, similar to my old NX2000, same chassis and engine. With the 5-spd it was a blast. And that 2.0 was bullet-proof. The new one looks nice but has gone soft and heavy. I'd take the Legacy instead
