Default 02/03 Cobb Accessport and AccessECU question

Okay guys, i had a question that i am a bit confused on.

I understand how the Cobb AP works, it plugs into your diognostic port and plays with your stock ECU.

But what is this AccessECU? Does it completely replace the stock ECU? Is it totally plug and play? Would you suggest it?

Let me know

Will

I'm not positive but I think the access ECU was what Cobb did before the Acessport. Either that or its just the same product with a different name.

AccessECU is a division of Cobb. AccessECU is the technology they use to reflash ECU's. the Accessport uses AccessECU technology.

Before the AccessPort was available, Cobb did sell what was called an AccessECU reflash where you would ship them your ECU, they would reflash it and ship it back to you.

They no longer sell AccessECU reflashes, only AccessPorts.
