Question

This question I post to you prior to you buying FHI struts. Will the stock OB springs fit on the smaller/shorter struts of the Legacy vs. the OB? I hope I am wrong in my tinking but I would imagine that the OB spring is a taller affair thus the OB strut assembly is also taller = more ground clearance...so if you take a taller spring and try and put it on a short strut, ??? what happens? Also, I had heard from some Soob tuners that the axle length of the OB was longer than that of the Legacy. Does anyone know if this is true? and if it is, could that extra length screw up the alignment of the shorter struts.
I hope that this post doesn't disrupt your life too much.

well, that's what I've been told by various sources: all kinds of differences, but when I get down to it, it's basically the spring perch location on the strut and taller tires; there's a guy running around on KYB AGX's on a 97 OB like mine, with shorter tires and no problems, running -1 camber all around, about a 1" drop.....

good enough for me; even if there are other differences, this works; if anything, the only thing changed is the physical ride height, and technically, the preload on the spring (less preload because of the lower spring perch = more space for the spring)

Post FHI V5 struts on wagons?

1. Will they fit?
2. Can I still use stock springs?
3. Do they lower the car at all?
4. Are there any problems with bounciness in back due to the extra weight?

I'm going to get struts for my OB now, and I'd like to get the V5's; legacy-spec struts lower the car an inch, and I want to see whether the V5's do any more than that (just the struts, not the springs; I'm keeping the stock OB springs until I can get some
GC coilovers...)

Thanks.
