Default I need info and advises for my project.

Hi guys,

I will start my little project sometimes in october to be ready for the spring 2007. It will be for my everyday car, not for racing but I will go to the track
maybe 5-6 times a year (1/4 and road tracks).

I already got the EJ22T short block, soon to be professionally cleaned. I will change pistons and rods to make it a 2.35l. I want something that will hold
when I need the boost and also I think it's the perfect way to learn by doing that project.

I will use WRX heads. I know a shop that do incredible nice jobs on head porting with before and after flow numbers. Also that shop is asking a very
good price.

I will eventually buy a blown WRX engine to use all the hardwares on it (sensors, pulleys, wirings, etc) and of course the heads.

Please give me your thoughts and advises on my project.

A few questions:

- Cams? should I gain much on EJ207 cams and valves? worth the buy? fits in wrx heads?

- Pistons and rods? suggestions on brands? best quality/price ratio? Eagle pistons? Crawford rods?

- Turbo to put on that little baby? remember it's for deally driving with a few times a year on the track. Still want to be fast. (I have a deadbolt Kong I turbo atm).

- Come on guys, let me know what you would do if it was your project (realistic please )

Thanks

I don't know about the cams or internals, but I think a 20G would be a great turbo for that motor, depending on how high you rev it (8k+ and it might be too small). If you want peak HP, you'll probably want something bigger, but a 20G should give you a great power curve.
