What is offset and why is it so important in order to get aggressive?

Just to save you the trouble of sorting through google. Essentially it's how far your wheels stick out. Lower offset sticker out further, so et20 would be 20mm further out than et40. Wider stance is better, but you can only fit so much wider on a given car.

Hello fellow Subie Owners...

My name is Rick and I'm the original owner of a 2006 Legacy GT. I've been "Underdog" on legacygt.com since Jan '06 and have had this account to look at linked threads and generally lurk around.

I'm now trying to get my post count up so I can manuever around the forum a little better. In the long term I will be looking for some '04 STi brembo take-offs and possibly a 6-speed/R180.

Anyways, here she is and this is a link to my mod list.

'Sup Allen!

After browsing through some of the pic threads here, I need to get to work this spring and get modding. Looks like I'm gonna need to step up my photography skills too.

Beautiful car. Definitely don't see that color around much - so many blue, black, and silver '05+ cars rolling around, but that red is sweet.

I just threw some 17x8" matte bronze Rota DPTs on my car, pictures to follow soon. (They're kinda crappy, as the sun was setting.)

A couple preliminary shots with the new Rota DPTs on the car with 235/40-17 Falken FK452s. The sun was setting behind me as I finished up mounting the wheels, so the pictures don't have the greatest lighting. And the car's been sitting in the driveway with a partially disassembled engine since the first week of November when I went out to sea, hence the rusty rotors.
