^ I had to get different hardware to make it work. It's bolted to the original tow hook.

hey dplacen, this might be a dumb question because i'm new to the forum, but you know that Japanese sticker you have in the right corner of your front window means "new driver" right? And if you see the orange and yellow one, that means "old driver". Just wanted to throw that out there in case you didn't know, if you did and you just like it, then cool.

B4nJPN - Car looks amazing (compared to any stock in the US ) Are those wheels painted or is that gunmetal color stock?

For you photoshoppers out there, I'd appreciate some critique on my first foray into touching up photos...

Fix the white balance in the first picture. The second one is close but it needs a little fixing too. Use the saturation slider VERY sparingly. I don't know if you did, but I see lots of pictures on the internet where people just slid it nice and high and it really just looks bad.

It might be a car photography thing, but the last one is crooked. I've noticed that car photographers like to shoot the picture crooked which can be interesting (to me annoying though) but in your last picture, it just seems like an accident.

I'm just trying to help, I don't mean to rag on your pictures.

yeah third one is the only one that looks to be pretty correct on white balanced.

I would say try using the unsharpen filter just a little to crisp it up

No worries, I asked for criticism to help make the work better, I'm still learning

The last one I was trying to imitate the mags I didn't move the car so while I was taking into account the view of the car, I didn't take into account the background needs to be level as well. How about now? It doesn't look so much like an accident now

This was shot on a pretty overcast day, I'm having trouble trying to adjust the white balance so it doesn't look all drab like it actually did. The only thing I had to reference for saturation/color was the grass (and I forgot if it was really green to begin with )

How about now? I was trying to preserve the details in the clouds...maybe bumping up the contrast a little like in the 3rd pic would help...

The background doesn't have to be level, it's just that you didn't go enough into the crooked-ness of it so it looks more like an accident and less of an intention.

I also fixed the WB for ya

My 2001 Legacy and I parted back in October-ish 08 for my 07 Impreza. That car was AMAZING I NEVER had any problems with the snow or anything mother nature brought... it was a mini tank. Scooby owner for life

cool, thanks dude I don't see much of a change, the corrected wb looks a little warmer to me though I'm really bad when it comes to color ...I get called on it all the time

Did some more tweaking on the 2nd pic...I like the crop, not sure about the change in contrast though, trying to brighten it up again...

Oh yeah and to DLC & other mods, I'll edit my subsequent posts to take out the pics once once I get some feedback

going to stick in a Walbro fuel pump, power enterprise 550-750cc injectors. Currently on the standard twinscroll vf38, will probably hybris that with vf36 internals when i can and that should be it

Be careful with the walbro pump. I had a big issue with it. the filter pack under full boost and WOT would get stuck to the bottom of my fuel tank and fuel cut on me. Just and FYI incase something comes up.
