Nice! The flat blue is kind of cool... But it almost looks like painter's tape! Are you planning on a clear coat?

FYI- I have an AEM CAI up for sale. It's red and just came off my '06 LGT. I'll start a formal thread when I take pics. It's in really good shape.

It was pretty simple. There's a DIY somewhere around here...

I jammed cards around the rim.

- Remove wheel weights
- Clean
- Sand front with 150 grit
- Clean with prepsol
- Put in cards
- Mask off valve and lugs
- Prime with 2 coats
- Paint with 2 coats of gloss
- Paint with 4 coats of gloss

I think your car would look ace wrapped in CF! Someone needs to try out that roof idea and you could be the candidate, haha.

Sounds pretty simple, but as you can see my rims look like they'll have a difficult time of sanding because of the thin trim and the tiny slits

thats a Toronto Subaru Club member with the CF hood, looks amazing! I wish i had photoshop skills to check how my car would look with the CF roof! Im waiting for the attack of the rust to come before i start wrapping anything

Yeah, it takes patience, friends and coronas haha. A drumstick is a good sanding block for hard to reach places. Prepsol at the start helped remove some of the coat.

I like the look of it. I can't believe how bad you guys get the rust over in the states. The Gen I Legacys here have barely shown any signs of rust.

Wrap it and get it over with :P You can always go back I assume...

I know, but it is going to good use. (your bit went out this morning)

As ibis said to me last Saturday, "if it was just the engine, or just the paint, I'd have talked out out of it. Because it was both, well, I don't really blame you"
