When my end tanks separated I just ended up getting the Perrin TMIC

A FMIC is pointless on a stock turbo....if you plan on upgrading then disregard lol

^^^ Ya, I will more than likely go aftermarket IC at some point, but as the car is a new purchase to me I just want to get everything dialed in as far as stock numbers are concerned before I go stg 1. Stg 2 will be my end goal as far as power and that is down the road. I am pretty set on the PW tmic when it comes to that.

I know I'm beating a dead horse with this, but I am on the side of the fence that says handling>awhp. When I took my '10 wrx on group ****** (stuff we don't mention on this site) I could NOT shake my buddy in his n/a obs to save my life. All of his mods were suspension and weight reduction related. I had a solid 70hp on him and in a straight line would put lengths between us, but get into the twistys and he was glued to my back bumper.

Point being, the majority of the $$$ that I do spend on this car will be put towards suspension, wheels, tires. Function>HP>Form.... (oh snap, I own a LGT LTD... I think I stepped in my own oxymoron)

Hey all, just got this bad boy and joined up here. All stock for now except for mild debadging on the rear but looking to do such crazy mods as window tinting and perhaps a new radio down the line. I love it as is!

I would've ditched the LEGACY badge and kept the 3.6, but that's just me.

I thought about the different options, and this was the best for me. It (the R) looks like something someone would accuse me of slapping on to look cool, but I can just school them instead. Plus I like the Subaru and Legacy being in the same line, gives it a symmetry.

In my original post I mentioned not many mods, but I am wanting a lower sounding exhaust as well... I can tell this engine has potential to sound great.

Boost leak found! TB-IC hose was basically completely detached, just hanging on due to friction and a tight fit. Replaced the worm drive clamp and wal-la, I have 16.5psi again. My tuner checked my map and it showed that I was actually already @ stg1. We did some logging and it passed with flying colors, all fuel trims are correct now, no knock etc and it pulls much smoother and a bit harder. It also sounds much happier.

He wasn't familiar with the SI drive but we found that not only does [i]ntellegent cut boost but it also cuts throttle response, by 60%!! WOT = 40% compared to S/S#.

Just FYI if I were you I would replace the stock TB->IC hose with an AVO one.....once it gives you problems it will continue. Before I got mine I was stuck on the side of the road at least a handful of times because it slid off or blew off.

They suck. Search lgt.com and you can see all the problems it has

+1
They are absolutely worthless once they've had a problem.

^ Oh my, it's a 5 speed too? That's very attractive. Makes me miss my old BK (although it wasn't a manual and I wished it was).

RealAbstract, beautiful car. Mine looks the exact same except it has tint, snowflakes painted gold instead of black, and morette headlights with eyelids
Mines an auto though (for now at least, the plan is to buy a wrecked STi and swap damn near everything I can over)

Are the manuals as rare as everyone makes them out to be?

Ehhhh they are harder to come by than the autos, especially in a wagon but not really "rare" if you ask me. If you want rare try finding a first gen turbo legacy in a 5 speed in any given area. It can be done but not easily. I bought one from Seattle, on from Portland, both 4+ hour drive. Third one I found right in my home town though

I found a manual Legacy SS, but it was in terrible shape and would have been much easier to swap a mint auto than restore it . Oh well , to late now !!! Apparently there were only around 500 manuals per year imported into North America ! Now that's RARE ! But I don't think my "matching #'s Legacy would do very well at Barrett Jackson Lol

Picked this '94 Sport Sedan up off a friend a few weeks back. 5 speed, just turned over 104,000 miles. Only modifications are a K&N panel filter, a set of WRX brakes and WRX wheels.

(I'll get some better, off the trailer pictures soon.)
