Default Puddle Light Kit

For those Tribeca owners who didn't have the foresight or patience to order their Tribeca with the puddle lights and regret the decision, Subaru has introduced a puddle light kit for the 2007 Tribeca. Its part number is H471SXA100 and the install instructions are at http://techinfo.subaru.com/html/down...?doc_id=139240. To be on the safe side, until someone confirms this kit works on the 2006 model, check that the pre-wired connector described in step 9 on p.5 of the installation instructions is present before ordering.

Subaru should just make that puddle light standard equipment. It's the coolest looking thing Subaru even invented.

Can we infer that your Tribeca has the puddle lights?

Don't buy a Tribeca without it!! That's the advice from every early Tribeca owner. My understanding is that there is probably no pre-wiring in 06 if your Tribeca didn't come with one from factory.

Nothing like hopping out of a Tribeca in a busy place at night and getting ooohs and ahhhs... i like the puddle lights for the cool factor alone.

It's funny.....we'll all laugh at ricers with neon under their cars, but our factory installed LEDs get raves

Hey Subaru, if you're reading this....

MAKE PUDDLE LIGHTS STANDARD ON ALL SUBARUS IN '08!!!

Hell, they only add like $250 retail to the car and Subaru could probably absorb this no problem. It DOES give the vehicle extra attention which helps generate sales or at least interest.

Anyone got any pics of their car with the puddle lights on? I am a Legacy owner, but all the talk about puddle lights has me curious as to what they look like!

Pictures won't do the justice to the puddle lights. You have to see it in person at night. It's four small rectangle blue lights pointed downwards on the side rail of the car.

Thumbs up

Well I just checked a few minutes ago and my 06 has the harness plug

I've got Jamie (Subie-Gal) checking on a price for the order. I've got 100 Scoobiebucks burning a hole in my pocket

I'll be doing an install page of course.

Thanks Jon for pointing out the install PDF. I've been trying to get these since I got my B9.

Ours has the puddle lights. It is one of our favorite features for sure. I agree it should be standard.

Making them standard for all models will reduce the "coolness factor"

Got them ordered from SubieGal today, should have them in a week or so. I'll post up the results. She's also looking into the new style cargo cover (window shade type) to see what it's like and if it can be retorfitted into the 06.
