Question Anyone know of a fix for this?

I have got a rattle coming from the passenger side airbag area. It sounds like it might be coming from the small triangle shaped vent. It is not the glove box. It only happens around 4000-5000rpms but it is totally annoying.

WOW! I get this same sound sometimes. It almost sounds like it is coming from the glove compartment or the vent. It seems to come and go.

aahaa.... i think i might know what that is! i just recently fixed a similar if not the same thing on my car. look at the top far right part of the dash, to the right of the defrost vent. there should be a little plastic peice that pops off and covers a screw for the dash, anyway tighten that beotch down. that should do it if it was anything like mine. eww that noise made me so mad. it took me forever to find it. like you said i thought it was in the glove box, behind the gb, behind the vents, the vents themselves..... nope none of the above. hope that does the trick though, i know what it's like to have a rattle and it bites!

I got the same rattle, but when I'm stopped in drive....I'll see if its that cover. I usually just smack the dash and it stops for a while

Default Sometimes...

They need a little "I love you" slap, every once in a while. Granted I haven't done it to my Legacy, but my last car (1988 VW) whoooo, did that get some "love taps" from me. It would make noises stop, lights come on ...

Nope it is something inside the dash. Oh well I can live with it.
