Default buy from dealer or privite party?

Hey guys and gals, Im looking into buying a wrx and wanted to know if I should buy from a dealership or a privite party. I am going to mod the car so a warrenty will just be voided, but I dont have tons of cash in the bank to but the car in full. So if i but from a privite party, will I be able to make payments? Plus somthing lightly modded will help me anyways. Thanks for your help as always.

Couldnt you just take out a loan to pay the person off in full and then pay on the loan? And making payments to the private party would pretty much be up to them. But they will most likely say no.

Go to a bank and try to get a loan, or get a used car from a dealer. Either way you can make payments, there's no way I would sell any car and let somebody make payment directly to me, the PP need to be paid in full.

Kinda weird questions, Have you ever bought a car before?

Some of the online loan places will mail you a check that you can then make out either to a private party or to the dealer. However, be aware that a private party may be unwilling to accept a check (personally, I would take cash or wire transfer only).
