Default Apexi ITC question

Just got my ITC yesterday, and in the install book they only have my car with the EJ20. Not the EJ25. Am I correct in assuming that I still want to use those directions?
Thanks,
Mike

Mike: here are ECU wiring diagrams that will work for MY97-MY98 Imprezas and Legacies with single-connector ECU:

Thanks, but that only has the 1.8L and the 2.2L engines. I'll give it a shot.
Thanks,
Mike

wac-no I figured out it didn't matter.
inpreza kid-5 is right. The first one can be in either position, If it's up it won't let you go more then 5*, regarless of what it's set at. If it's down you can go to 15*.

Shouldn't one of the wires go to the Engine speed(RPM) wire?

The RPM wire is not needed because the ITC can calculate engine speed from the crank or cam sensor.

LOL, the crank (and/or cams sensors in some case) ARE what tell the ecu the RPMs of the motor

yeah it'll do that. it's a misfire code, Id put a hidden switch in so you can turn it on if ever needed and then turn it off while driving for sanity purposes

another tip for you guys installing the ITC is make sure to pull the power source from the ecu. the ITC itself has to turn on same time as the ecu for it to work.

HOK. i got me itc from someone on i-club. they are a little hard to come by because apex usa stopped importing them. i think ISR might still have a couple left. if your looking for something to control your timing i think the split second TMC might be a better buy to get since it can retard timing by boost.

check it out at http://www.splitsec.com

I am working with a company to produce a boost referenced timing controller that doesn't cause the CE lights like my APEXi ITC. The prototype is coming along nicely with ZERO CE lights, and the company is being set up so the device can go into production.

Stay tuned to my website for the initial release in a few months.

Could anybody send me the manual or install instruction of ITC?

But the system doesn't allow me to post my email....

"Members are required to make 10 posts before they are allowed to post URLs."

Or could anybody who has it leave your email and I email you later?

Thanx!
