I now have 500+ miles on my EBC slotted rotors and Porterfiled pads.
Luke at Tire Rack went out of his way to have them waiting at the counter on a Saturday afternoon. Anyone that has been to the old tire rack building has to see the new one---its awesome thanks Luke. Initial impression of the slotted rotors was ho-hum, now that the finish has been worn off the surface and the pads are properly bedded they are GREAT. I have done several really hard braking from high speed and the pad/rotor combo seems to work really well together. The rotors are a snap to install. Pads were simple too.

These are on my 2002 WRX. Fit with no modification. They were $265.
I have the R4S pads, they have not seen any abuse on a track but they are very nice on the street thus far. Bought the pads through an advert in the SCCA magazine for $119.00 l8tr |

How are the R4S pads for dusting? I realize more dust is inevitable, but I don't want to have to wipe my wheels down every time I drive to work! :P

I think they are mildly dusty pads. It's been crap weather for the whole week so it's hard to tell.
I expect brakes to dust, all the german cars I've had dust quite a bit so its not a big deal. As far as the application of the porterfields all I know is they fit the 02 WRX beyond that???? |
