I just got a an email asking if I want to sing up as a driver in a Rally Movie/ TV Show. Some of you may have already heard about this. Click on the link below and take a look. The team that places 1st gets $1,000,000.00 US dollars. You will be "trained" by other rally drivers. Sounds too good to be true.
Click on the link and let me know what you think.... http://www.rallyracer.com/

But, as my Dad frequently told me, you can't get a hit unless you swing the bat.

My Dad also had a name for people that require money just to accept your job application, but I can't use it here |

If you guys look through the whole website, you will notice that they stopped taking apps in september (unless they reopened it).
I and one other i clubber that I am aware of have already recieved confirmation that we are "in the running"as it were. Then last week, IIRC, they sent me an email stating something to the fact that due to the tragedys of sept 11, production was being pushed back about 90 days, but taping of the shows would probably not be affected. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my bizarre sense of humor doesn't kill my chances at making the show. TTFN |

From what I read on there the entry dates will be from April 6th 2001 thru November 1st 2001.
I am a little scared about giving 10$ to this application. Does anybody approx how many people have applied so far. I just haven't heard about any of this until today. Sounds to good to be true. Stefan |

I found this on the net somewhere:
RALLY RACER REALITY TV from signbldr www.rallyracer.com/ Forget Survivor...here is RALLY RACER! this seems almost too good to be true. Fame, money, fast cars and a new TV series. I like the idea of pairing nations against one another to get the political pride thing happening. This iste just makes me scratch my head until read the contestant form "9.95 charged to apply". Ah Ha! Is this really a TV show or a way to suck money from reality TV junkies like myself. This might be a good non porn money maker for anyone who is interested in the concept. Time will tell if this really is a TV series or snake oil A search for "Rallyracer" only brought up 8 sites on google and yahoo. So it's not really advertised. Makes you wonder. Stefan |

You also have to think that there true rally racers spend their whole life practicing. In 2 weeks you can;t learn much about rallying. The chance for serious injury is huge and how much action can there be? they are not going ot be racing right next to each other so there is no chance for someone to spin someone else out and get things heated up that way? Seems dumb to me

Go to that site and read the fine print. Some where it states that they might not get their shiznit together, and therefore this might never happen, but you cannot reclaim your $10.
Personally, I wish I would have thought of this myself. Try to get something going, charge people who are interested, and then, Oppps, we can't quite get it together. Walk with a lot of people's $10, and say things didn't come together. It's going to be a failed business, which is not illegal. Keep in mind that if the owners of the business decided to pay themselves a great salary, but just ran out of money, that isn't at all illegal. As long as they show they were actually trying to make a profit, but just made bad business decisions. The only way they could get busted is if someone could prove fraud. BUT, they told you from the get go that it might not work. They told you, straight up, there's a possibility nothing would ever happen, aside from them taking your 10 bucks! That's a great scam. For anyone who wants to sign up for the new one, send me $20, and I'll try to get something together. It's $20 because I'm going to try twice as hard! Same thing though, I might not be able to even find a rally car. Possible I just spend your money, and fail. But I do take Paypal! |
