Question Dyno tune without egt sensor ?

Is it possible to accurately tune a standalone without an EGT sensor?

Ignition MBT can be found by increasing timing and referencing between dyno results till the extra advance isn't producing any more power. At some point the EGT's will become a factor also, especially at higher boost levels. How can this final point be found without an EGT sensor?

Can someone clarify this to me, or have I got it wrong.

If I must I can fit an EGT before my dyno day.

Increasing timing reduces EGT's so unless your trying to reduce timing to produce faster turbo spool at like 1-5-10lbs of boost I don't think it's absolutley nessisary.
