Target boost

I have a 05 wrx 4eat stg 2
using the stg 2 93 oct map

mods :
gutted up
b&b catted dp
esp jgt500 catback

im only seeing 14.8 psi MAX

isnt the target 15.8 +- .05?

should i be calling cobb?

definatley call cobb they have great customer service.....but what gauge are you reading it off the accessport,stock gauge?

There are many factors that go into that 15.8 + or - boost level. Humidity, heat, altitude and even your car etc. Remember that boost was on Cobb's car in Seattle on their dyno. Cars react differently to the AP and Stage 2. No two are alike. That's why the put the + or -.

I normally get 15.5 or so during the cooler times and now it's about 14.5 to 15 or so. You're probably just fine. If you had a real problem (i.e leak, bad install etc) You wouldn't even get that. You'd be hitting like 8lbs psi or whatever. Plus remember it takes a week or two to hit that max boost after the ECU learns so if you just installed the Stage 2, it won't get there yet anyway.

Like Bbasso said search this forum or Cobb's (http://www.wrxforum.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi) and you'll probably find the same info. If you feel like it though call Cobb.

if notthing i might try tthe hwg map later on
