Default AP map for helix 660s, evo III 16g & TMIC

Hey guys...just like the title says, I'm in a bit of a pinch, I have the next 2 weeks off, and have my ported FP evo3 16g, helix 660s, walbro 255 and AVO top mount all ready to go in and have no one to tune it for me. I was wanting to have Top Speed do the tune, but have to drive 7 hours to get to them, so I need a temp map to drive the car to them...reaching Doug has proven near impossible for the last month or so. PDX can't do the Helix injectors via email, so thats no option, and getting in touch with TDC has been impossible thus far.

Anyhow, I'm looking for suggestions on what I should do. Like I said, these next 2 weeks are open for me to have this done. If I had a map for the helix injectors, I'd go ahead and install the rest, and make a trip to georgia Georgia is my closest option)

Well, I'm all ears...anything?

Thanks

Trey

i'm pretty sure that a fuel pump won't F' with your tune, cause its not like how injectors are. fuel pumps just have higher fuel rates possible, but all act the same

tmic might not mess things up either...

but ya yo'd need a tune for those injectors at lesat and also the turbo

I am in the same boat as you. I can't get doug to respond to an email for ****. I can get ahold of tray there to setup tuning but like u I am trying to get from Panama City Florida. I am almost gonna run the same setup as you. DB Monster 16g ported deatchworks 650 injectors ebay tmic. I just need a way for him to send me a map so I can limp the car up there with the bigger injectors. I have a OTS map for a vf30 and pinks. The car will run on the pinks but I have to either have them change them out or spend a early morning changing out the injectors there in the driveway before i it rolls on the dyno. So I am in the same boat as you.

you already spent that much, get ST to adjust it and then go get your protune (as well as a ST map to play with later)

Hmmmm another 200 bucks on top of 300 for the protune = 500. If I was going to do it that way I would rather have them install the injectors in place and baby the car up there on the pink injectors. Injector install 160+300=460 40 bucks in my pocket for beer when I get back. But I guess you might be talking to him not me. I would rather not tweak my own tuning. I would rather have someone else pay for damages done to the car during tuning then me paying for me blowing my own crap. My theory if I dont have to do either that just means I have 160 for gas up there and back and beer when I get home.

just install the injectors when you get there. preinstall the turbo just dont get on it. if you already have pinks in than chances are the GBOD arent on there. i can prob do injectors in like 30 minutes of putzing around

Hey guys...update here...

I ended up going to Engine Logics in Houston instead. After a month or more of trying to reach top speed, they lost my buisiness. I have nothing but good things to say about the crew at Engine Logics. Brad spend nearly 6 solid hours just tuning my car...the first part of the day was spend getting the car on the dyno, and we installed a Profec B on there at my choice. When installing the turbo and swaping out the vacume lines with the restrictor pill and then forgetting the pill at home. Anyhow, I'm gonna keep the numbers to myself now untill I get to the track, and see how close I come to my mid 12s goal. I'll say this much, I feel like I'm running a Sti 6 speed now, 1-4 goes that fast. A++ for Engine Logics...keep them in mind...and stay tuned for some more info.

Sounds like you got most of it worked out, but if you got StreetTuner I can't think of any reason you would need a protune on top of street tuner... anyone that can protune can use your laptop and street tuner. ST is pretty close to protuner that only works with one car.
