Default My Swap is done, full V.7 JDM STI

I finally got my car on the road with the new v7 motor in two nights ago...

Its currently running with a stock usdm sti vf39 turbo on it, just to get it going, but as you can see in the pictures, the new turbo will be much better. Even on the stock tune just scaled for the pe800's, nothing else, on 100 oct, the car chills next to my buddies mid-low 12 second evo, on a friggin vf39 with a tial 44mm external!

car is a 2004 usdm wrx

Major mods

GO

JDM v.7 sti motor
APS sr55 turbo (as of tomorrow)
aps dr725 fmic
pe 800's
Turbo XS Fuel Rails
aps hardpipe turbo inlet
tial 44mm external wastegate with dump pipe
gtspec exhaust manifold
modded perrin up-pipe (wrapped from headers to bottom of downpipe)
all other bolt ons
Greddy profec b spec II
jdm 6 speed
Driveshaft shop aluminum 4inch driveshaft
05 usdm rear end (wider)
05 usdm brembo's (5 x 114)
sti suspension plus tein springs
cusco rear sway w/helix endlinks
strut tower bars (ebay nukka!)
ect.....

SHOW

full chargespeed (first gen) v2 body kit
usdm sti wing with shocker sticker FTMFW!!! (going wingless this week)
momo race seat with sparco harness, ect.
5zigen fn01r-c's (black with polished lip)

jdm v8 sti cluster...

plenty more....

looking for mid-low elevens on race. MZM did it with this setup on 100 oct at just 21 lbs, 11.5 at just under 123 i believe. And as some of you know, i ran a 12.17 on the stock ej205 with a deadbolt td06 20g with an extremely conservative 100 oct map (350 wheel).

hope you enjoy, im sure i missed some stuff so ill make edits

here are pictures of the swap complete, the new turbo, and some from the past 2 nights

and yes i know the engine bay needs some serious cleanup, that will come after the car is done being tuned and having the kinks worked out.

I'd like to thank a bunch of my buddies, Hunter, Rob B., Robby, Wes, Justin D, and everyone who helped with the swap at 3am that one night, along with tuning factory for some killer deals on parts

also Andre Brunette for hooking me up with the motor, and some other parts for a great deal. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. But i think he recently got banned from these boards, which i will not go into, maybe he will be back to nasioc someday if he works out the proper vendor status.

Very cool looking car, nice and clean but looks fast. I'm so glad you don't have decals on it.

Nice swap and setup. Any power numbers with the V7 motor and the APS SR55 turbo (interesting combo)? I never heard of anyone running that setup. How is lag with that turbo and motor combo? I am running a APS SR40 on a stock USDM EJ20 and I made 341 awhp on a modest tune @ 19psi (pump fuel).

Thanks

Great looking car - good luck with the new turbo!

The boost guage doesn't quite look like an Autometer - but if it was I wouldn't be busting his balls. I've had three Sport-Comp gauges in another car of mine for over 10 yrs now with zero problems, the "awesome" Omori's in my WRX have both lasted less than a year before having stupid issues. Issues common to more than just me. I wish I'd rocked the Autometers! (sorry for the hijack)

I watched you click off one of those low 12s at Lapeer. Beautiful ride. Make sure to post on here and xceed when you head out again with the new combo to snag those 11sec slips.

shocker stickers on the side of the sti wing in blue, hard to see, and actually you cant see in these pics, ill add more in a second.

that cop was cool, he just wanted to checkout some of the cars, there were a few really nice ones out with me that night. single turbo's 350z with full body kit that looked amazing. Cammed out z06, evos, srt4's, ect.

the boost guage is Stewart Warner, the same guage in the AMS EVO

thanks for all the comments guys, i appriciate the love.

man, the soMich suby scene is going to be SICK this summer. We've got 3 v7 swaps (soooo my doing ) 2 built block STi's, a nice street 20G'd beast and a host of nice stg 4 WRXs, all in our local det community. what evo?>
here's my turdy with Ians.\

Both cars are sporting full v7 conversions. Ian's ditching the 39 for the SR55 and I'm ditching the RA gears for a USDM STi tranny with upgraded diffs.

its going to get nasty.....
