Question Accessport->Reprogrammed???

I had an 04' WRX Cobb Stg. 2 and it was totalled. Long story short, I wasn't able to unmarry my accessport. I called Cobb and asked them if they would be able to reprogram my accessport for an 05. They said they can't do it for an 05', but they said they could reprogram for an 04'. They also said it would cost like $300. I called them about 6 months ago and don't remember if these details are exactly what he said.

My question is can I exactly do what I think they said?
I wouldn't be doing it myself(since I have 05), but I would like to sell the Accessport for say $200 and that person can save $100 by sending it to Cobb.

I would like to do this ASAP if it can be done...if it can be done...let the bidding begin.

if you didn't unmarry it prior to losing your ECU, you have to send the AP back to Cobb to make it functional again.

Thumbs up

I called Cobb and they will be able to re-license my accessport for an 04' WRX. I'll probably let it go for $500/shipped when I get it back from them.

Just a heads up for 04' guys who want an Accessport for an 04'.

Thats kind of what i am wondering... i ordered my AP about 6 weeks ago, got it two weeks ago, but it was for an 04. called the supplier that i bought from, he said send it back and he'll get me one for an 05 in 2-3 weeks. browsed around the access ecu forums for a bit and found some stuff on flashing an 04 etc. i ended up flashing it and the map manager see's it as an 05 AP, but im running down on boost a little bit (hitting ~13.7 in 3rd, running stg 1 93 base and realtime). Jorge said that it might be running all right but might cause some issues w/ a protune.
