Default Hello! Moving from one washington to another (how to find housing?)

Hello!

I've just finished college and I'm looking to move into the DC area. I'm looking to move into the metro area with my high school friend who's already landed a job.

He told me that he was looking for 1-2 bedroom locations in the U-street Corridor, Columbia Heights and Loganís circle but is having trouble doing it without a real estate agent... He's only been using craig's list!

So, any ideas on how to find housing? Thanks!
