Default Thinking about staying in Stuart, FLA for about a week...need some tips.

What's up everyone. I might be taking a vaction with a couple of friends at the end of July. One of my friends Aunt has a place in Stuart that she said we could stay at.

So that said, if we were to fly down (probably into West Palm airport) how is the public transportation since none of us are really old enough to rent a car. How easy will it be to take a train/bus/etc to Stuart. Also, once there, will there be easy public transportation access to get to Disney?

Also, is there much to do in the area? Does any one have suggestions on where to go and what to do. It doesn't look to far from the beech/intercoastal so we'd love to rent wave runners and that sort of thing for a day. On Google maps it looks like we're about 45 mins north from West Palm Beach and about 1.2 hours southeast from Orlando (if we had out own car). Is it worth going that far out our way to find stuff to do.

TIA!!

Mike~~

Florida public transportation FTL it plain sucks. If you have never been to DW its worth going at least once in your life. I would play tour guide for you all for the day, but I'm clear down south about 150 miles from you all! Good luck Stuart is a great place to retire!

Public transportation from Palm Beach Int'l airport to Stuart will cost some bucks. It's probably a good $75.
