factory gauge pod...

damnnn, i had my gauge cluster (3 meter dash variety) and short shifter installed today...i got the car back this afternoon around 3. it little while ago (around dusk), i turned the lights on. to my dismay, the oil temperature meter 'switched off' (went back down to 0 degrees) when the lights were turned on???? i know the turbo boost gauge has a sucky ass backlight...which i can live with, but i'm pretty sure the oil temp meter ISN'T suppose to turn off like that when i turn the lights on???? ***!?

s*** is f'ed up...right??

yes. it should show a vacuum during idle

Try dimming your dash lights all the way down - if the gauge goes dim but the gauge starts reading correctly then they hooked up the wrong ground to your gauge. Tell them to read the installation manual.
