Thanks,

RalphSwan and AKLGT will point you in the AP direction.. many protuned maps... a great EM none the less with a Accessport. UTEC their are quite a few people who know how to work with them up here. If your not a EM expert, AP is easier to go and will give you a large power increase. Anything you put on your car, they can create a protune map for it. (PDX or TCD)

Definitely 2 camps here.

brian_i is right, I would steer you to the AP because that is what I have experience in. I have had 2 maps created for me, 1.)stock MAP upgrade and 2.)STI/Stage 2 MAPS that were customized for major mods and both results were awsome. I was able to contact PDX (out of Portland) and they were able to put together great maps without having it professionally pro-tuned (lower 48).

My brother has the UTEC, was sent the MAPS but definitely benefitted from taking down to Portland and having it pro-tuned.

I have experience with both and have found that the AP seems to be an easier plug and play option however, PDX sells both and recommends both depending on mods and how you plan to use.

I would suggest contacing www.pdxtuning.com or some other tuner who sells BOTH to get a unbiased/technically accurate response.

+ 1 on the contact pdx, everyone who has i know says great things. also, i reccomend ap for these reasons:

1 ease of use
2 safety factor for engine + electronics
3 resale value
4 undetectable even by subaru scan tool
5 will make you pass i/m, instead of make you fail
6 i have one
7 continental subaru sells them locally

I've got the ap, super easy and great results. I've also got a pdx map for my mods. it takes about 20 seconds to change maps

If you want to be tweaking your map regularly, and want to learn to tune yourself than go utec. If you want simple, funtional, and you don't care about learning to tune go AP and you'll be a lot happier.

when you call us tell them you're from the nasioc board. ask for tim too. call later if he's not there

we use internet pricing on most aftermarket stuff, like prodrive, sparco, cobb, perrin, etc.

sweet. i might order a cobb through conti and drive down to pick it up. so would be lookin at about 600 for a cobb, be a good deal if there isnt a shipping charge with it.

Does anyone have an e-mail for someone at PDX? When I use the sales e-mail address it bounces back as undeliverable.
