Default Sandrail Scooby Motors...

Aloooooooooooha...
Hey has anyone checked out some of the companies building Subaru Turbo Sandrail Motors???? if so what did you find out....I just bought a magazine that has about 5 companies that are building ALL types of Scooby Motors...1.8, 2.0, 2.2, 2.5, 2.7 and the 3.3.....anyone runing one of these 400 HP plus motors out there????? I will post the companies and Addys tomorrow..Thanks for any insight...

I drove down to Stallion Sandrails in Phoenix, AZ. They make all aluminum 5 seater Sandrails with a choice of Subaru 2.0 liter turbo engines (single or twin turbo). The transmissions are VW bus trannys. Because of gearing they'll only do 130 mph . They use Link Engine Managment Systems to bring it all together.

This is probably the most known as they are the providers of Rally Knights engines and tuning for SCCA Rally. Digital Boy was going to use them for his monster project but they were too lazy to get off their collective arses to help to move the project along which made him move to another dealer.

Default That was the sound of nail being hit squarely on the head...

No kidding Rich. I don't want to go over the whole mess again, but I have no love for Leading Edge and their holier than thou attitude.

They make a decent engine, but for the money they charge, there're a LOT better choices to make.
