I plugged in my AP to tranfer some maps and I get an error message on the map management software.
1. The AP powers up and I place it into sync mode 2. The computer will AutoDetect the AP using the Communication Configuration menu "AP found on port com5" 3. An error message appears at the bottom of the screen, instead of "connected to A"P it says "AP not recognized or identified - contact tech support" 4. I am using the serial cable supplied by Cobb. 5. The AP works fine when loading maps to my car 6. The AP was just returned to me by COBB after some non-warranty repairs Has anyone encountered this problem before? I will try to contact Cobbs tech support tomorrow.

Make sure you are using the latest map management software. Check cobbtuning.com for the newest version.

You may want to go to the AccessECU knowledge base.
It is linked at the bottom of the news collum @ the Front page of Cobb's website. There is a good list of error mesegges, and a patch (I know of) that should fix your issue. |

Fixed the issue.....
I removed the current version of the software from the PC. Re-installed and uninstalled the original version that came with the AP CDROM three times before I was able to make it work. Odd ...The AP now works fine with the Original version from CDROM but not with the current version downloaded from Cobb. My current maps are street-tuned, so I can't load regular AP or Protuned maps unless I unmarry my accessport. Thanks all for the help.... |
