db-9 to usb adapter

Anyone know where to get one for a good price? I am trying to do some datalogging and my laptop doesn't have the 9 pin serial port. I went to best buy and radio shack but there's were $35. Cheapest I found online was $8.99 with 7.75 shipping, which is BS for the shipping.

I'm sure some of you guys have had to buy one, so what did you pay?

I think you should just go for the more expensive one. I bout a cheapo one, and it was spectaculary craptastic.

Got one from Best Buy and it was very much worth it.

thanks, the adapter on that post was the one I found for $8 bucks. I didn't want to buy an expensive one because I just want to datalog and I am trying to save money for a ring...ouch flame!!!

I have used the Radio Shack one and the Sewell SW-1301

with no issue.

Sewell seems to have MANY good adaptive products....
