Cool 2007 M5 vs 996 turbo at the track

Hey guys,

my buddies just took this video going to the drag strip.. 100% humidity, not a good day for track.. best times were like 12.3..

but its pretty nice comparison with the new M5.. the m5's are stock and over 4000lbs.. not to shabby

Oh and a crazy snowmobile that does 9's..

Holy sledneck batman! That was nutty! Love the yellow Porsche and the M5. The M5 is pretty darn good for such a big, heavy sedan.

Awesome video! Thanks for sharing, I love the 996 turbo (and now the new 997) and that bmw is sweet too! 7 speed tranny with 507hp on tap all in a luxury sedan, gotta love it!

You will always have the 4wd advantage... however.. the M5 is super sick.. it has a LAUNCH CONTROL button which holds its under 1600rpm and when you release it just pops at 1600.. and grabs the ahpahlt.. the launch control in north america is only 1600, but in europe it holds at 4000 which is insane..

Seems like the European car companies always hold out on the launch control for the U.S. market.
