Default Stg 2 craziness!

I am going to throw this one out there. I installed an AVO TBE and GPMoto equal length header last week. Stock intake, BPV..etc.

Problem: Boost Spike between 18.3(where liveboost ends) and 23psi (where fuel cut is). Haven't hit the fuel cut yet, too much of a chicken to keep on it. I have yet to go WOT, boost skyrockets at est 50-70% throttle. Same results with stg 2 and stg2 lwg maps.

Could a leaky header cause this?

Looks like I am going to jump in ST sooner then expected, I am concerned that I won't be able to control it with ST if I don't see any results going from the Stg 2 map to the Stg 2 lwg map.

I am going to check all my hoses when I get outside to make sure they are all attached. But otherwise I am all out of ideas. I am going to start datalogging with ECU explorer this weekend.

J

Understand. Having trouble reasoning why there would be so much lack of control. Stock STi headers vs what I installed, I keep reasoning that the flow would be not that much greater then stock, if not less.....

Unwrapped tubular header.
