Question Where do you get your model cars?

I want to buy model impreza, but not the kind that is pre-asembled. I want to the kind that you have to glue and paint. But I have no Idea where to find one???? any help would be apreciated.

Hey Imprezive,
Check out my other post about the new WRX STi that Tamiya will be doing in the coming weeks, it is a street version Impreza. I saw the prototype built kit this weekend, in 1/24 scale ,and it looks exquisite. You can't go wrong with Tamiya models, they are quite simply the best plastic models out there bar none. You can find them on the web at Tamiya.com
And you can order them from Hobbylink Japan
Hobbylink takes about 2 weeks to deliver, but they come straight from Japan.
Also, 2 other good Impreza kits are made by Hasegawa in 1/24 scale, and these are older WRX examples, a sedan and a wagon. They are also available from HLJ, and are street versions. I highly recommend HLJ, or Hobby People as a place to get them. But if you must, you could use Ehobbies.com as well.
As far as local places to get them, I can't help ya there, as I'm in Socal, and not familiar with shops in your area. You might hafta look around, or maybe someone else on the board here might know. Hope that helps.
Gotta fly!

Just take a drive down to Winter Park. I think the place was called Colonial Hobbies. Its located a few blocks south of Bill Bryan in downtown Winter Park. I can't remember the street names, but its in the phone book, that's where I found it.

They've got just about everything including Autoart models. Good staff and very helpful. Give it a try this weekend. I'll see if I can find the receipt and the exact address.

Don't bash on the guy, c172 is right, it's his model.

Oh yea, I usually get my car models from ebay, but there are a few local stores that I can get them from.

This here's my baby. I'm not quite done with this one yet though. This pic doesn't do the color justice though.

You can find places in the US that sell the models, don't worry about shipping from Japan. It'll run you somewhere around $5.

hehe
i know that one has no detail (that's why I pointed out that it wasn't finished in that pic )

All I had done was paint the shell and assemble the chassis, and I was test fitting-everything It's got red foglight housings with lights in it now, so quit complaining
that's a nice blue one, looks like the same kit
